Alton Hathway, age 89, of Lumberton, NC, died Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at his home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sallie C. Hathway; his father, McCoy Hathway; his mother, Becky Kimrey; a brother, Ottis Hathway; a sister, Eunice Stephens; and a half-sister, Virginia Hathway.

He is survived by his son, Dale Hathway (Teresa) of Lumberton, NC; a grandson, Donavon Hathway of the home; a granddaughter, Crystal Delozier (Clift) of Fort Mill, SC; four great-grandchildren; and a half-brother, Larry Hathway. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Kayla and Benny Sampson.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton, NC with Rev. James Croke officiating.
