Allean Hunt Locklear, 89, of 1096 Canal Road, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Southeastern
Regional Medical Center. She was born to the late Lonnie and Nancy Carter Hunt on November
11, 1918 in Robeson County.
She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Preather and Verner Hunt; 1 sister, Radie Ransom; and her husband, Edwin Locklear.
She is survived by her step-daughter, Wanda Davis of Georgia; 2 brothers, L.B. Hunt of
Shannon, NC and Jiles W. Hunt of Fairmont, NC; 2 sisters, Priscilla Hunt of Lumberton and
Maitland Hunt of Fairmont; special nieces, Shirley McNeill and Debbie Troutman; a special
nephew, Randy Hunt of Fairmont; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
The funeral service will be Thursday, June 26, 2008 at White Hill Baptist Church, Pembroke,
NC at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Floyd Hunt officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Floyd Mortuary
& Crematory, Inc.
