Alice Penny Kinlaw, 94, of Lumberton, known to her family and friends as Tootsie, went to her heavenly home on April 30, 2022, at Southeastern Hospice House surrounded by her family.

She was married to her dear husband, the late Milton Lindberg Kinlaw, for 64 years. Tootsie was born in Lumberton to the late Henry Irwin Penny and Rollie Potter Penny on April 29, 1928. She attended Lumberton High School and retired from Fairmont Manufacturing Company.

Tootsie was a very talented person and an excellent cook. She made many counted cross stitch pieces, enjoyed baking cakes and shared both with family and friends. She was an active member of Godwin Heights Baptist Church and contributed pound cakes to the Bereavement Committee.

Tootsie is predeceased by her husband, parents and four siblings. She is survived by nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.

The family will receive friends at other times at 212 East 17th Street, Lumberton, NC.
