Ms. Alice McPhatter Foley, formerly of Fairmont, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Morning Star Assisted Living in Pembroke, NC. She was 80 years old. There will be a graveside service Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont, NC and will be officiated by Rev. John Spence. Visitation will follow the service. Ms. Alice Foley was born July 18, 1934 in Robeson County, NC to the late Ambrose McPhatter and the the late Nolie McPhatter. Ms. Foley was the widow of Mr. Horace Foley and they were married for more than four decades before his passing. She was a devoted mother and wife and loved to spend her time cooking. Ms. Foley was also a life-long member of Barnesville Baptist Church. Ms. Foley was preceded in death by four brothers, Boyce McPhatter, Wilbert McPhatter, Horace McPhatter, and Graddy McPhatter and two sisters, Lucille Ivey and Olene McCormick. To cherish her memory she leaves behind a daughter, Sondra Foley Hunt, and husband Ricky, of Orrum, NC; two grandchildren, Ashley Hunt and Corey Hunt and three grandchildren; Aiden Hunt, Noah Hunt, and Donovan Hunt, as well as a host of extended family, friends, and neighbors.
