Mr. Algon Heith Campbell, 85, of Orrum, NC went to be with our Lord December 3, 2016. Heith spent 36 years serving and protecting with the N.C. Highway Patrol, Troop B, (Robeson County) where he retired as F/Sgt. Heith was a lifelong member of Bloomingdale Baptist Church and served as deacon for many years. Heith also had a passion for gardening, where he would give away fruits of his labor to help someone in need or just to see them smile.

Heith was a loving, humble and kind man with many accomplishments, none more important to him than his family. He took pride in his family and relished in telling stories and jokes of days gone by of the memories made.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Quincey and Eloise Walters Campbell and two brothers, Lowell Campbell and Lennaw Campbell. Additionally, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 45 years Frances Estelle Hardin Campbell, and will be laid to rest at her side.

He leaves behind a spouse Shirley Maxwell Campbell. Heith also leaves behind three sons, Kenneth Heith Campbell (Donna); Jeffrey Blake Campbell, (Jenelle); and Gregory Thomas (Butch) Campbell, (Kim); six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Alice Rose Connor of Fair Bluff and many close friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Bloomingdale Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Fields officiating.

Burial will follow in Walters Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 7:00-9:00pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to Walters Family Cemetery Association in his memory.
