Alexander "Alex" Isaiah Oxendine, 23, of Lumberton, NC, died Sunday, June 27, 2021, at KershawHealth Medical Center in Camden, SC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on May 12, 1998.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra "Sandy" Locklear; his paternal grandfather, David E. Oxendine; his paternal step-grandfather, Leroy Locklear; and his maternal grandparents, Charlie W. and Marie L. Locklear.

He is survived by his father, Bradley W. Oxendine of Maryland; his paternal grandmother, Amveline H. Locklear of Selma, NC; a brother, Bradley W. Oxendine of the home; and a sister, Avalina G. Oxendine and her mother, Lora Miller, both of Maryland.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday, July 2, 2021, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Smyrna Baptist Church in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Pastor Carl A. Pevia and Rev. Chris Jones officiating.

Burial will follow at Lumbee Memorial Gardens in Lumberton, NC.

The family will also be receiving friends at other times at the home of Jerri Gail Chavis, 503 McPhail Road in Lumberton, NC.
