Mr. Alex Stephen Collins, age 50, of Orrum, NC, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County on April 17, 1962 to the late Stephen D. Collins and Lema McDaniel Collins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ellen Kaye Collins.

Mr. Collins is survived by his mother, Lema Collins of Orrum, NC; his wife, Cindy Collins of Lumberton; one son, Daniel Collins of the home; two daughters, Candance Powers of Lumberton and Kaylee Collins of the home; one sister, Patsy Watkins and husband, Tommy of Lumberton; three grandchildren and his faithful dog, Buddy.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, July 24, 2012 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 11:00AM at Broadridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Orrum.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a private trust fund for Daniel and Kaylee Collins, c/o Patsy Watkins, 505 West 28th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358.
