Miss Alene Hunt age 93 of 364 Austin Rd. Rowland passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Highland Acres Nursing Home in Lumberton. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 15, 2014 at 3:00pm at Reedy Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Hilton Woodell and Rev. Chester Chavis officiating. Burial will follow in Reedy Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 7-9PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. She was born October 3, 1920 in Robeson County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Spurgeon Hunt and Lonia Jacobs Hunt; and two daughters, Arvalene Hunt and Kay Ann Hunt. She is survived by one son, Nathan Hunt of Rowland; one daughter, Stella Wood of Columbus, GA; one sister, Vera Mae Hunt of Fairmont; seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and three great- great grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Highland Acres and Community Hospice for all they done for their loved one.
