Albert Howell "Buddy" Nance, age 90, of Proctorville, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

He was born on February 8, 1929, in Robeson County.

A funeral service will be held Sunday April 14, 2019, at 3:00 PM at Olivet United Methodist Church in Marietta with Rev. Carolyn Cummings officiating.

A visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Sunday April 14, 2019, from 2:00-3:00 PM at Olivet United Methodist Church in Marietta.

Burial will follow in Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont.

Mr. Nance was preceded in death by his parents, A.W. Nance and Willa Howell Nance.

He is survived by his wife Mildred Scott Nance of Fairmont; one daughter, JoAnne Rice Tuggle of Leesburg, GA; one step-daughter, Sharon Townsand of Tennessee; one step-son, Eugene Townsand of Fairmont; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
