Mr. Alan Pate Morris, age 53 of 3176 Davis Rd. Fairmont, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December, 8, 2013 at 3 PM at Iona Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Bryan and Chaplin Dean Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Iona Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Iona Presbyterian Church and other times at his home and the home of Eric Morris. He was born March 26, 1960 in Scotland County. Al was an avid Wolf Pack fan. He also loved, hunting, fishing, and umpired for high school football and baseball games. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Rebecca Pate Morris. He is survived by his wife, Mendy J. Morris of the home; two brothers, Pete Morris and wife Fran of Aberdeen and Eric Morris and wife Kimberly of Maxton; several nieces and nephews.
