Agnes Byrd Stanton's Obituary
Agnes Byrd Stanton, 90, died June 14, 2016. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Noma Byrd; her husband, Wendell Morrison Stanton, Sr.; and her son, Wendell Morrison Stanton, Jr. "Stan". Agnes is survived by her daughters, Ann Pittman (Bobby) and Sue Gaines, both of Lumberton; four grandchildren, Cindy Warrick (Garron), Robbie Pittman, Brandon Gaines (Kevin), and Brittany Waddell (Joey); and three great-grandchildren, Blake Inman (Stephanie), Summer Hester, and Landon Waddell. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM at Chestnut Street United Methodist Church and at other times at the home on 310 East 13th Street in Lumberton. A service will be conducted Friday at 11:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Chestnut Street United Methodist Church, 200 East 8th Street, Lumberton, 28358 or a charity of your choice.
