Mr. Addis Carey Scott, age 80, of Orrum, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at his home.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on September 27, 1942 to the late Addis Scott and the late Marion Ruth Barnes Scott.  He was a proud US Army Veteran and a longtime farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Susie Cheshire Scott and Elvia Scott.

He is survived by his two sons, Dickie Scott (Ivey) and Arnold Scott (Suzanne); his step-sons, Johnny Coleman (Tammy) and Kirby Coleman (Rebecca); his step-daughter, Susan Boger (Mark); two brothers, Alton Scott (Ida) and Stevie Scott (Debbie) and all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023 at 11:00AM at Barnesville Community Cemetery in Orrum with Pastor Steve Johnson officiating.  A time of visitation will follow the service at the cemetery.
