Addie Mae Smith Blanton, age 93, died at on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Woodhaven Nursing Center in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County, NC on September 14, 1919 to the late Albert Smith and the late Addie Pittman Smith. She previously worked as a baker at Danny Mae Bakery.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jack West and Jerry West.

Mrs. Blanton is survived by a son, Eugene Ray West of Lumberton; a brother, Cecil Smith of Lumberton; a sister, Joyce Freeman of Fairmont; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. Mark Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton. A time for visitation will be held Friday from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
