Mr. Arch Boyd, known as "A.B.", Small, age 91, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Bladen County Hospital in Elizabethtown, N.C.. He was born on October 3, 1927 in Marion County, SC to the late William Quincey Small and the late Gladys Ford Small.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, John William Small; a brother, Lester Small; and sisters, Ann Player Roberts, Charlie Mae Floyd, and Mary Ellen Hooks.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bonnie Coleman Small; his daughter, Tammy Small Cox and husband Ronnie Cox of Lumberton, NC; two grandchildren, Stevan Cox of Lumberton, NC and Kensley Cox of Roanoke, VA; a brother, James Quincey Small of Costa Rica; and many close friends.

Mr. Small, a native of Nichols, SC, grew up with six brothers and sisters. In his youth, he served in the Army during both World War II and the Korean War. He moved to Lumberton with Mrs. Small in the 1960's, where they established a home and family. He owned and operated S & M Alignment Service on W. 5th Street before retiring. After retirement, he worked as a courier for a local company. He was a faithful member of West Lumberton Baptist for many years.

Visitation service will take place on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton.
